EBIHARA Kinosuke1904-1970

A Western-style painter of Japan. He looked up to FOUJITA Tsuguharu as a teacher, and was active in Paris. And after came back to Japan, he was active chiefly in the Independent Art Society. And late in life he went and came between Japan and France again and again. He is also famous for the color with original matière which he used in France, called “the Ebihara-blue”.
