A Japanese-style painter, who was active chiefly in the In-ten (by Japan Visual Arts Academy). He expressed something modern such as selection of the themes and the compositions in his paintings, while he was affected with the Japanese traditional paintings to be interested in the Buddhism and the Tea-ceremony in his youth.
